According to the Arizona Department of Transportation’s website, in August 2014, the Arizona Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP) Executive Committee approved the Arizona 2014 SHSP. The current plan has been developed in consultation with a broad array of transportation safety stakeholders through the state representing each of the 4 E’s of safety: Engineering, Education, Enforcement and Emergency Medical Services. It is interesting to note that one of the SHSP’s emphasis areas is TIM. The TIM section provides an overview of TIM and seven TIM and work zone-related strategies and action steps.
